Gorgeous NGC authenticated, graded, serialized and encapsulated ancient Greek. Silver Tetradrachm of Alexander (III) The Great, who reigned from 336 to 323 BC. Obverse depicts bust of Herakles (Hercules) in lion skin headdress. Reverse Zeus seated on throne, eagle on hand, holding staff, Greek lettering down field. Minted just after his death in 323 BC.
Coin is beautiful with great details, but received a lower grade. Due to a scuff/scrape on Herakles chin and ear.
